Tanguay inks 5-year extension with Flames
Calgary, AB (Sports Network) – The Calgary Flames signed forward Alex Tanguay to a five-year contract extension on Saturday.
The 31-year-old will earn $3.5 million annually.
Tanguay led the Flames with 47 assists and added 22 goals in 79 games last season.
A former first-round pick of Colorado in the 1998 draft, Tanguay has tallied 225 times and collected 686 points in 818 contests with the Avalanche, Flames, Canadiens and Lightning. He’s also picked up 19 goals and 59 points in 98 playoff appearances.
